Trindade Gonçalves

Trindade Goncalves has been signed by FC Goa for the third season of the Hero Indian Super League. A defensive midfielder by trade, Trindade is adept at shielding the defence from attacks using his speed and technique. Trindade has played a number of junior tournaments in Brazil. The 20-year-old played in the Copa Sao Paulo de Futbol Junior against rivals Corinthians and scored a goal while also converting a penalty in the shootout to win the contest. Zico decided to sign the youngster to his FC Goa side following impressive performances in Brazil.

Richarlyson Barbosa

Richarlyson Barbosa began his youth career with Ituano in 1998 and impressed during his time there. In 2002, he moved on to Santo Andre, a club his father, Lela also represented. After 33 league appearances for the club in three years, he transferred to Brazilian giants Sao Paulo. He made 147 league appearances for Sao Paulo and netted six goals for the club. He won the Brazilian League for three consecutive years from 2006-2008, along with the Club World Cup in 2005. He then moved on to Atletico Mineiro in 2011 and achieved honours with the club, including the Campeonato Mineiro in 2012 and 2013 and the Copa Libertadores in 2013. Richarlyson also made two appearances for the Brazil National side in 2008. Richarlyson is a versatile player and is capable of playing in the defensive midfield position or as a full back. He was signed by Zico to represent FC Goa in the third season of the Hero Indian Super League.

The diminutive Goan midfielder is one among eight Goans drafted to play for his home side in the third season of the Hero Indian Super League. Born and brought up in Goa, Pratesh started his career at the Sesa Football Academy in Goa. In 2012, he went on to sign for Sporting Goa. He has made 73 league appearances for the Goan side, netting five goals while playing mainly as a defensive midfielder. In the second season of the ISL, Pratesh was drafted to play for Mumbai City FC and was a regular in the team. He signed with FC Goa for the third season of the tournament.

Sahil Tavora is a youth product of the Sesa Football Academy and made his debut in the Goa Pro League in 2012. The midfielder made an impressive start to his football career, having scored once in 9 games for the club. He signed a three year contract with Dempo SC in 2013, having scored one goal in 11 appearances. Sahil also represented Goa-India at the Lusofonia games and went on to win the gold medal in the tournament, after good performances from the centre of the park. He was signed by FC Goa to play in the third season of the ISL under Zico.

Mandar Rao Dessai

Growing from Dempo Sports Club's youth set-up and learning his trade at local club Clube Atletico de Parra, Mandar broke into Dempo's senior team in 2013 and in the subsequent year at FC Goa. A wily left winger, Mandar uses his pace and acceleration to get past opposition defenders and score or create goals. The youngster captained the Goa-India squad at the 2014 Lusofonia games which won the gold medal. He made four appearances and scored one goal during the tournament. At the national level, he has represented the India U-23 side. Mandar has been a regular at FC Goa since the first year of the Hero Indian Super League. His sharp performances in 2014 helped the club finish as runners-up in the second edition. Due to his impressive performances, he was presented with a two week trial period at La Liga club Villareal CF. Mandar has re-signed for FC Goa for the third season of the ISL.

Romeo Fernandes

Romeo Fernandes is a product of the Dempo youth system and joined the youth ranks in 2010. He quickly became a key player for the Dempo youth sides before being loaned out to the Margao Sports Club whom he helped attain promotion from the second division of the Goa Pro League. His goal scoring prowess didn't go unnoticed and the Romeo quickly broke through the ranks and reached the senior level. Since 2011, he has made 36 appearances for Dempo in the I-league, scoring twice and assisting numerous times. He was drafted into the FC Goa team for the first year of the Hero Indian Super League and ever since then, has been a main stay in the team. His pace and trickery has seen him score and create important goals for the side. He has the distinction of having scored the 100th goal of the tournament in its first year. Due to his good performances, he was awarded with a trial spell at Brazilian heavyweights Atletico Paranaense, becoming the first Indian to play in South America. He has been a fan favourite at FC Goa and the club has retained his services for the third season.

Jofre Mateu Gonzales is a La Masia youth product and played extensively all across Spain. He made numerous appearances for the Barcelona B and C teams before finally breaking into the first team in 1998. He moved to Levante in 2002 and went on to make 101 league appearances for the side before signing for Barcelona's Catalan rivals, Espanyol. His vast experience in Spain earned him a move to Atletico de Kolkata in the Hero Indian Super League in 2014 where he played under Spaniard Antonio Lopez Habas in the first year of the tournament. He went on to clinch the ISL on his first attempt and then moved to FC Goa the following year. He almost made it 2 titles in 2 years after his late goal in the finals seemed like it would be the winner but it was not to be. The left footed midfielder re-signed for FC Goa ahead of the third season of the tournament.

Sanjay Balmuchu is yet another product of the Tata Football Academy in Jamshedpur. In 2012, he joined Goan side Churchill Brothers for whom he made 20 appearances. In the process, he won the 2012-2013 I league title with the side. After Churchill were expelled from the I-league, he continued to play for the team in the Goa Professional League and the Durand Cup. Eventually, he left Churchill and joined Mohemmedan in the I-league second division. In June 2045, he signed for reigning I-league champions, Mohun Bagan. After not featuring in the first two years of the ISL, Balmuchu was signed by FC Goa for the third season of the tournament.
